Anne M. Jeans Early Childhood Program Nationally Accredited

180 imageThe Anne M. Jeans Elementary School Early Childhood program has always been an excellent program. This month, the National Association for the Education of Young Children formally recognized those efforts when it awarded the program National Accreditation status.
Since 1985, NAEYC has offered a national, voluntary accreditation system to set professional standards for early childhood education programs, and to help families identify high-quality programs. Today, NAEYC Accreditation represents the mark of quality in early childhood education. Over 7,000 child care programs, preschools, early learning centers, and other center- or school-based early childhood education programs are currently NAEYC-Accredited. These programs provide high quality care and education to nearly one million young children in the United States, its territories, and programs affiliated with the United States Department of Defense.

The children of the Burr Ridge 180 community are fortunate to have such an outstanding program. We are also proud of the many outstanding educators who have worked tirelessly in creating this outstanding educational opportunity. These educators, Fran Frisby, Candace Scarpelli, Meghan Radtke, Lynn Moynihan, Bev Taylor, Dave Crafton, and all of those working to support this program will be recognized for their effort by the board of education.
